Milain Marcel - Biological Engineering
This project was all about blending engineering with education. My team and I set out to create a fun, hands-on math tool for first-grade students that met Louisiana state learning standards. Our goal was to design something simple, engaging, and educational—all within a format that could be 3D printed and reproduced easily.

We developed a dial toy that helped students practice adding numbers to a base of five. The design was sturdy and kid-friendly, encouraging independent learning and play. After testing our prototype with students, we received enthusiastic feedback and made final tweaks before donating the finished products to Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) classrooms.

In addition to designing the tool, we also created a full presentation explaining our design choices, modeling process in SolidWorks, and testing experience. It was amazing to see how engineering could directly support learning in the classroom and create something that kids genuinely enjoyed using.
